The Gateron x Siliworks Type R Tactile Switches are unique tactile mechanical keyboard switches specifically designed to deliver exceptionally direct, pure tactile feedback without a linear actuation point . With a very short total travel of approximately 3 mm , the tactile feedback begins and ends virtually instantly upon keystroke, resulting in a very direct, fast, and noticeable typing experience. This design also produces a slightly "clickier" sound than conventional tactile switches, as the bottom-out occurs relatively early. Factory lubrication with a blend of GPL105 and GPL205 ensures smooth operation from the start and reduces friction noise without requiring any additional modifications. Thanks to their robust housing and clear tactile characteristics, the Type R switches are particularly well-suited for users who prefer highly defined haptic feedback while typing or gaming.
