The Gateron Oil King Linear Switch is a high-quality, factory-lubricated linear switch specifically designed for mechanical keyboard enthusiasts seeking a smooth typing experience with a solid sound profile. According to the manufacturer, it offers a combination of robust mechanics (POM stem, nylon housing), pre-lubricated components, and a firmer spring tension – ideal for builds where solid response and a pleasant bottom-out feel are essential.
It has a comparatively deep ("thocky") sound and comes with materials that minimize stem wobble and allow for long-lasting use.
